Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that is performed on small rock formations or artificial rock walls without the use of ropes or harnesses, it is performed through bouldering problems, which is the sequence of moves that a climber performs to complete the climb, and are usually less than 6 meters tall.
It could be done vertically or as Traverses, which are a form of boulder problem, require the climber to climb horizontally from one end to another.
Each route/problem you choose to climb has a different style and grade based on difficulty. Bouldering is a great physical workout, using muscles all over your body - not just your arms, core strength is a real focus, as is flexibility. But unlike some other forms of exercise, it's so much fun you might not notice that you've had a big workout - until you wake up the next day!
It’s not just a workout for the body, it also requires a large amount of stamina. It boosts creativity and self confidence regardless of how old you are, takes high levels of courage, awareness, problem solving and mindfulness to overcome the obstacles that lay overhead and brings a rewarding meditative peace.
